Tia & Myles' Baby Shower 21/10/23

Project type

Baby Shower

Date

21/10/2023

Location

Norwich Family Golf Centre

Tia and Myles are having a little baby boy. They wanted a green, white and gold themed shower. It was held in the evening at Norwich Family Golf Centre in Easton, Norwich which is also Tia's work place.
Tia is a work colleague of mine and I was honoured to throw this shower for her and her partner. The whole planning process involved both Tia and Myles as they wanted to be as involved as possible which is absolutely lovely. I loved working very closely with both parents-to-be.

All decorations were bought online/party shops and also some handmade.
For the cake, the parents-to-be had chosen cupcakes, as it was an easier option for guests to just grab and go during the party. These were made by Tia's own mother.
The buffet was all prepared by myself and my little helpers. It was a decision made to keep costs down and a simple food option.
For party games, we played 'What's in the nappy?', It was a fun/'disgusting' game that got all guests involved. They all enjoyed it and in the end there were 3 winners who had to compete in a tie breaker question for the prize. This was to sing a popular nursery rhyme to all guests, which after a bit of hesitation, was completed and won.
We also had a baby themed quiz with 10 questions which all had something to do with babies/baby related items. This game involved a bit of discussion and of course some light hearted 'arguments' between teams. It definitely got everyone mingling and competing. In the end we had one winning team who got to choose their prize.
A video was also prepared for the parents-to-be from all their family/friends and work colleagues, wishing them congratulations which they both really loved and something they can keep forever and show their little boy one day.

The rest of the evening was enjoyed by all of the guests and I received a lot feedback from them all about how much they enjoyed the whole event.
This to me was the best end to the evening.
